  2. Making Of The Halo 2 E3 Demo

Tue, 06/24/2003 - 00:56 by narcogen

The following story by SketchFactor is running over at Bungie.net-- go have a look! It's basically an interview with Jaime Case Griesemer, Design Lead on Halo 2, and Tyson Ferrex Green. For the new Bungiefen, they both ran a Myth site together called the Codex several years ago, and Ferrex was one of the founders of Rampancy, then called The Core.

We can personally attest to the part about crippling the Internet, although the last two days or so I've been able to access the site without killing all active Apache processes. Whoops... sorry about that, guys.

Incidentally, the statistics so far are 8,738 downloads for the WMV version of the E3 demo, 2,734 for the hires QT version, and 1,601 for the lores QT version.

Making of the Halo 2 E3 Demo - The Halo 2 demo was delivered unto the world last month with much fanfare and the recent video release continues to cripple parts of the internet. But how did such a demo come to be? This week we chat with the design team about their role in the demo’s creation. [Bungie.net]
