More Halo in Print
Kudos to peapon, who passed along this cutting from an unnamed newspaper. One small step for Halo, one giant leap for PR recycling. ;)
On the topic of scanned articles, the GameStar Halo interview has beenthrough Babelfish, resulting in the usual half amusing, but still somewhat informative output. Props to Dr. Nick for typing out it out and posting it in the forum.
GamesStar Interview
Kudos to CyberBob and Halo World for passing along a scan of the German interview mentioned in yesterday's news. While we covered the important points of the article yesterday, the scan is still good for a chuckle...
Ah well, gaffs like that are part of the business. Unless we recieve info to the contrary, we're going to assume they got Doug's name right, but his picture wrong. ;)
New Halo Site: Orbit
Brent Potter sends word of a new Halo site on the scene, Orbit. He points out that it's still a work in progress, but they're off to a good start with no shortage of content. Stop by and say hi when you make your rounds.
bTV Archives Posted
Bungie's Joseph Staten has posted word that the bTV day three and four archives will be posted on Monday, in both small and modem slaying sizes. He goes on to give the reason for the delay... apparently, some people actually take advantage of their weekends! Tisk tisk... such sloth.
bTV Day 4 Posted
As promised, JosephAW has has posted today's bTV archive at his website, along with some additional detailed Oni footage. You may have a bit of trouble getting through, but keep trying, and you'll eventually get there.
bTV Day 3 Conversion
Lifted directly from halo.bungie.org's forum, bTV archive master JosephAW has posted a converted version of yesterday's bTV broadcast that shrinks the size from 177megs to only 9megs! The file is available at his website, so all you slow modem folk out there (I'm with you!) can stop by and see what you've been missing.
He also notes that he has today's broadcast and will be posting it shortly... stay tuned.
Halo Backstory Transcript
Kudos (sick of that word yet?) to Merkinja7a for putting together and posting a transcript of Thursday's story broadcast on the forum. I'm still reading it as a post this, but it's all there... straight from Bungie's mouth. Should be an excellent source of information for an FAQ update, so stay tuned for one of those in the not so distant future.
bTV Broadcast Summary
Excessive outpourings of gratitude to MacDrugal, who rose to my challenge (some would call it begging... ignore them) and supplied us with some details from the bTV broadcast which wrapped up about an hour ago.
