Kudos to Chris, who sends word of a new Halo preview in the December issue of Next Generation:
Marathon's Story has some interesting observations on the whole ring motif in Halo, complete with screenshots and ties to Marathon. Definitely worth taking a look at... good food for thought. And if you're having trouble getting there (might be just me), try the b.org mirror instead.
After agonizing over an acceptable topic, and failing to find one, I've opened the poll for this week with one of my reserves: what game do you think you'll be playing most between now and Halo? Series are clumped together to reduce the number of choices a bit, and mods should be considered part of that series as well.
Just a curiosity poll this time... cast those votes, and perhaps help guide the undecided among us. And no smashing the poll, you Myth fiends...
After literally two years of campaigning without success, it looks like I'll finally be getting a proper, unlimited connection soon. As of December 1st, I'll be able to do a bit more than hit and run updates, which means I might actually be able to keep up with the news.
Funny how a change in internet policy is the only thing on my calender in felt pen, highlighted. Of course, I'll have plenty of time for other pursuits when Y2K brings about the end of civilization... hunting, scavenging, cannibalism...
Quite off topic, but cool nevertheless. Butcher sends word of a slick new toy for some Windows Myth II players, PluginViewer:
An interesting poll this week, if only because it was the most lopsided result yet. When asked if they still planned on buying and playing Oni, Halo fans were resoundingly positive:
Another quiet weekend... a time for updating subpages and contemplating the universe. Having figured out the universe, I've moved on and updated the FAQ with a couple of new questions, two or three new answers, and even a picture! Heh.
Help feed a starving webmaster, send in your news, rumors, and insightful questions for the FAQ. Otherwise, things may get ugly around here... I have only one word for you: haikus.
SonicStorm sends word that Halo Network is now open for business, with quite a bit of content to start with and more to come. Another link for zee Navigation panel, and another stop for the daily rounds... stop by and help warm the house.
As forecasted by (::roots through archive::) rojay on 10.30, CGW has posted their second of five games that will change gaming forever, via Gamespot. It's an old article, but if it's news to you, stop by and take a look... and while you're there, ignore the Q1 2000 release date. They're on crack.
