  2. Update On Half Life 2 Code Theft

Tue, 10/07/2003 - 10:42 by Sphtman

This isn't related to Xbox, Bungie, or Halo in anyways, but its interesting news nonetheless. It appears as if the recent hijacking of HL2's source code has pushed back the release date to April 2004. This shows how such theft affects the industry. Check the article out at Yahoo's Reuters. Hopefully this will never happen to Bungie or its code.

UPDATE: Blue's News provided additional linkage on this story, to items at News.com, New Scientist, and Half-Life Source. The last item introduces the new statement that only a portion of the code was stolen, and that the delay has not yet been confirmed.
