  2. Weekend News Roundup

Mon, 09/27/2004 - 00:19 by narcogen

Here's a short list of items over the past few days:

  • Tokyo Game Show. IGN and GameSpot (video stream) both have pages running down the Halo 2 presence at the Tokyo Game Show.
  • Fable Sales. Fable has (however temporarily) inserted itself into the Xbox sales records. XboxSolution has the story. Editor's Note: As good as Fable may or may not be, we expect this to be a short-lived record with November 9 fast approaching.
  • Forward Compatibility. Peripherals for the Xbox 2 should work with Windows PCs, says GamesIndustry.biz.
  • Doing Splits. Louis Wu at HBO points out the vertical split-screen photo that was part of the TGS photos hosted at Impress. Editor's Note: Here's hoping that works on LCD projectors that support widescreen modes, as my TV is still, lamentably, a mere 4:3 box.
  • Solderless Modchip. Slashdot has the story of a solderless Xbox modchip that allows users to run Linux on their Xbox... assuming they want to.
  • New RvB Soon.
Red vs Blue season three should begin before the end of this month.
