On a tip (I can already hear some of you saying, Yeeeah, right! ) I stopped by the Playboy website and verified that they had some E3 coverage. I suppose that's not to be unexpected, since several playmates attended the event. Anyway there was an item on Halo, which was considered one of the sexiest games of the event by many a geek. Here's what they had to say:

Arguably one of the best games previewed at the show was Halo, a third-person perspective sci-fi action epic with the best-looking graphics ever seen in a PC game (and we're not just saying that because Wyn is married to a Bungie employee). The game chronicles a war between humans and aliens, where gamers can play as either side and fight with an awesome assortment of weapons and vehicles.

I've not linked there for obvious reasons, but I did copy literally all of the text they have on Halo. Wyn Hilty is listed as one of the three authors of Playboy's E3 section. Hrm... I guess that Playboy really does have articles! ;-)
