  2. Images of Cyborg and Sniper Rifle from E3

Mon, 05/22/2000 - 22:32 by noctavis

Our gratitude goes out to Fred, who supplied us with raw scans from the Halo item in Newsweek's May 29th issue, reported yesterday by HBO. We've got cleaned up copies of both the screen shot and the entire item for you. Note that Newsweek is erroneously claiming that Halo will be coming out for DreamCast. (Or are they?) HBO has posted a nice-looking image of the screen shot and article image as well, following their article image from yesterday.

Image analysis: The small patterns you'll see in the scans are the result of scanning from magazine media, the worst of it having been filtered out. In the screen shots are the cyborg soldier and sniper rifle that Rex, Sili and I saw in the E3 Halo movie. This shot gives you a much better angle IMHO than the previous image from GameCenter did. Still, there is no substitute for seeing him in motion. In the movie the sniper rifle had a very nice reflective silver polish that gave me shivers. I can tell that the wait until this movie comes to the public will be excruciating! ;-)
