We've reported a few times in the last four months about three Oni comic books that will be appearing from Darkhorse Comics. Today we've learned that Darkhorse slapped up a Flash-page (a bit heavy on the bandwidth) with desktop images, information on the upcoming comics and some related links. In addition, we've found out that there will be a fourth comic book (#0) in limited public distribution:

Watch for the release of Dark Horse's comic-book adaptation of Rockstar Games' Oni; issue #1 hits the stands February 14, and the three-issue series will continue monthly after that. Also, thanks to a cool deal with Rockstar, GamePro, and Gamer's Republic, a special #0 of the Oni comic-book will be included in the March issue of both magazines.

Bungiefen reactions to previews of the comics and an interview with Rockstar's Jeronimo Barrera have so far leaned heavily to the negative side of the fan-o-meter, to put things tactfully, including criticism of the quality of the comics and derision of some of the statements that Barrera makes.
