A good question. All I can do is fall back on the tried and true methods of those who have gone before and say as soon as I know, everybody else will, too :)
One thing that I think IS known is what we'll be doing.
From the poll results, it seems that most of the users who want to see the site continue are, generally speaking, more interested in Halo for PC and the Mac, and in Phoenix, and less interested in other Xbox games and developers, so we won't be going in that direction.
How will it return? I've been checking about twice a week to see if there've been updates, but the only one was on h.b.o that ramp.net was having some DNS problems, so check ramp.synfibers.com for a while...

That's what I mean by "will" return-- it hasn't yet. We solved our DNS problem, but we're still not posting news regularly, which is what I'd consider "returning". I posted the note because Louis preempted me by posting about the DNS fix before I was ready to do anything else :)
