• Samsung has started production on the 512Mb DDR3 graphics memory chips that Microsoft will use in the Xbox 360.
• DFC Intelligence is publishing a report predicting that Microsoft and Nintendo both may gain market share from Sony in the next round of the console wars; currently Sony has about 70% of the market and Microsoft and Nintendo split the remainder. The latest report is said to estimate Sony's "best case market share" of the future market at 50%, trailed by Microsoft's maximum possible of 45% and Nintendo's maximum possible at 35%.

(Of course, those numbers do add up to more than 100%-- obviously it isn't possible for all three companies to maximize their potential share of the market. Some funny games being played with numbers by DFC Intelligence--Ed.)
