I have divised my Halo 3 suggestions into 2 parts: Single Player and Multiplayer suggestions. The * means it should be in both single and multiplayer games.

SINGLE PLAYER

*Night Time Option on Sniper scope w/ night time mission

Command Marines

*Prone Possision

*Be able to keep dual wields without having to drop a weapon while meeling or throwing a grenade.

*Tank should go faster

Epic battles (much like Call of Duty 2)

The light does not go out automatically

Online Co-Op

*Single shot or three round burst with the battle rifle

Have the game finish with Master Chief and HOPEFULLY (i know it's a 1 to a billion chance) make the ending give off a vibe that another Halo will come out

Probably more to come...

MULTIPLAYER

BOTS!!!

You can check stats without going to bungie.net

32 player would be cool

Unlimited grenades

Fuel Rod Gun*

Mines

Unlimited Grenades Option

Changeable Weather (snow, rain, gray-cloudy, sunny etc.)

Customizable Maps (filling items in a pre-made enviroment)

All matchmaking lists also have unraked types

Game Recorder

While waiting to get into an Xbox Live you can view other games in session as well as in the Menu screen.

NO MORE MODDERS!!!!

(more to come)

BONUS!!! Read plz!

Back in the day when we were all playing Halo: Combat Evolved and the Halo 2 teaser was just announced (the one where Master Chief jumps out of the ship), we thought the first mission was where you flash onto one of the Covenant carriers and jack it and fly it down to earth. Well, that did not happen but wouldn't that be a cool mission. Just a thought. Practice Patience and Fight Fear.

I would add a couple more things.......... MORE AMMO FOR THE SNIPER!!!!!! Like on the Truth and Reconsiliation level when you started off with what? 16 clips? Also maybe hold 6 or 8 grenades. I also agree to bring back the night vision! The battle Rifle needs more ammo too. I run out of ammo to fast on legendary difficulty. Oh and possibly on the online co-op if you could choose what gun you start with. And dual wield swords.

I agree on the night vision for the sniper, which I miss.

However, the other issues I think are properly addressed by Bungie. Ammunition is SUPPOSED to be scarce on Legendary. It's supposed to force you to be more discriminating with your shot selection, make every shot count. It's also supposed to force you to use a wider range of weapons than just your favorites. I routinely pick up and drop used Covenant weapons on Legendary in case I need extra firepower, even weapons I normally avoid, like Needlers. Even on legendary, most levels are positively teeming with plasma pistols, which are terribly useful against Elites, Jackals, and even Grunts. (Not so much against faster-moving targets like Drones, or tougher ones like Brutes, I agree.)

The Truth & Reconciliation opening is a special situation-- it was a sniper-specific mission, and that's why they gave you those extra clips.

Narcogen I meant that I wanted another level like the Truth and Reconciliation. So I can have more sniper fun. Maybe they should put in more levels like that designed for a specific weapon, and of course MORE TIME FOR VEHICLES. I do think that the battle rifle needs more ammo. If you could have ten clips for the assault rifle then why cant you have more than 4 clips for the battle rifle. I mean you should at least be able to hold 6 or 8. I run out of ammo on levels like Delta Halo. A level where I can safely say that you are on your own. The marines get wiped out before they can even make it up the hill. I tried giving one of them my rocket launcher so they could do a little better. But the marine shot the other marine and they both died. Anyways I eptied a full clip of a battle rifle's ammunition into a red elite and it's shield still held. Then I have to take cover and reload so it doesnt kill me. And by the time I Am done with that the elite goes hiding and the grunts and jackels cover fire for him so I have to waste ammo on them and reload again. Then the elite's shield comes back and the proccess repeats. But now I just use a plasma pistol and a battle rifle and that kills the elite easier and saves ammo. Well I guess that is about it. Oh and I would never avoid a needler on legendary unless I am using my favorite weapons. Needlers are great for the level Gravemind on legendary. It gets you around the brutes easier. And its homing ability easily takes out a drone. I hate drones. On legendary they are hard to hit because they can fly. And they take your shield out really quick with their rapid fire plasma pistols. But you can kill them easy when you have the surprise attack.

Two things there: weapon-specific missions or levels, and the use of vehicles.

If I had to guess, I'd say that the idea of levels or parts of levels that strongly encourage the player to choose one weapon (or vehicle) over any other is something that not everybody agrees on.

T&R is a good example. They give you a sniper with extra clips, Cortana tells you to use it, and it is absolutely the best and most efficient way to advance to the gravlift. You can do it without it, but it is much harder.

There aren't many places in the Halo games like that, however. In most places, you can choose what you think the most appropriate weapon is. In many places, there is a weapon that has clear advantages. In other instances, such as the end of The Maw, you must use a vehicle-- in that case, the warthog. In Two Betrayals, you must use a Banshee, since it is the only way to get certain places.

Aside from gondolas, Halo 2 has no such limits. No areas you must use a certain weapon on (with the possible exception of a sniper weapon against most snipers) and vehicles are almost always optional and not required.

In short: the extra clips was just another way of encouraging the player to use that weapon in that particular area. As such, it makes the gameplay less varied, and I'm more than willing to give up a few chances at using snipers a lot in return for the flexibility of deciding when I use them.

Even without those extra clips, there is a lot more sniper action in Halo 2 because of the ready availability of beam rifles, especially in levels like Uprising, Outskirts, and Regret.

The battle rifle is a much more powerful and accurate weapon than the assault rifle. That's why they give you less ammunition for it.

You are supposed to run out of BR ammo there. You're supposed to use other weapons.

As a guideline I never give marines a rocket launcher unless they're riding shotgun in a warthog. Even then, you do have to be careful about how you drive, because if they're trying to shoot at a target downhill they can end up blowing up your ride.

To keep the marines there alive longer, do as much as you can to take out targets from where you land. The ODSTs only advance up the hill as you do, so if you stay put, so with they. That area has also got a lot of plasma pistols and needlers, both of which are good against most of the targets (grunts, jackals, elites). The only thing you REALLY need the BR for there is to take out the jackal sniper. If you want to save rocket rounds for later, you can use the BR to take out the shade gunners instead of the RL. But that's up to you.

Yes, usually the ODSTs there don't make it out of that area. But you can make them last longer.

That's the way you have to play it; on Legendary you really can't depend on the BR to wear the shields down.

I agree, although many people do consider the Needler useless. Most of them, I suspect, are basing this on their experience in multiplayer and not campaign.

In reply to: weapon and vehicle balance.

I admit that I do consider the needler useless in some cases but Sometimes it is good in multiplayer. I would dualwield the needlers in that situation and keep hidden. Then when someone comes by you can surprise them with rapid fire and before they even know what hit them they would have already blown up. But if you are the one getting attacked then I would make sure that you have a strong back up weapon. Lets say you have the rocket launcher. If you are getting shot from behind your needlers will be no good. So turn around and blow the person up and continue on forward fireing at anyone in your way. I can find a lot of useful combinations for the needler. I found out a way to make your ODST troops survive in Delta Halo. I just play in co-op mode and have the second player stay down the hill. The ODST's will stay with player 2 While I go up and obliterate the enemy. Then you get to ride around with Odst's in your hog. Well mine died when we got into the area with about 6 jackel snipers (the area where srgt johnson said I heard that Jack***) and they shot them right out of the car.

some water/sea combats would be great with some new vehicles designed for water combats.
