We've already remarked on the amazing success of the NY FanFest this past Friday, but here are a few of my personal observations:
Firstly, a huge Action Sack o'kudos is owed to Miguel (Freewill) for organizing the whole thing, from getting the pizzas to arranging for the location (Neutral Ground on W. 122nd Street).
And it's done. With an astonishing turnout of over 150 people, the MWNY Bungie Fanfest was the most successful to date, which is all the more remarkable when one considers that Bungie wasn't even exhibiting this time around. Bungie Sightings and Marathon's Story will doubtless be updated soon with more great stuff from the gathering, but in the meantime, we've scored some swag of our own.

Sorry about that, I missed an important detail. PC users, this announcement most likely applies to you too--if Bungie produces Halo for the Mac, they will almost certainly produce it for the PC as well. We're trying to see how this affects release dates, but Hallelujah! Wheee!
As the servers slowly move over (the domains have propagated as far as Canada, so you should all be able to reach them), the Bungie crew is moving over and in too. Asked on RHL what the new digs were like, Jaime of the Halo team had this to say:
Reports are coming in that Bungie's web servers have come back online, though some people (myself included) are still waiting for the domain to propagate. Bungie.net shouldn't be far behind, though there may be a few complications with the new location and the hardcoded addresses inside of Myth. Stay tuned for updates over the next day or two.
If you're trying to get through, you can shake your fist at Mother Nature. The b.org websites are suffering a bit of storm induced downtime, but should be back in the thick of things relatively quickly. You can't keep a good server down... unless you're a rampant AI or something, in which case that sucker is toast.
