It ran a bit longer than we meant, but E3 kinda got in the way of a timely update. Asked whether or not Halo alone would be worth attending E3 for, just under 550 voters replied with a resounding yes:

Seen first at Battleground: Halo, 3D Action Planet is holding a poll to determine What should win best action game of E3? Halo is currently winning with a landslide 54% but I don't think the fans of other games will be snoozing for much longer. Make sure you get out there and vote!
A pair of new Oni magazine sightings over at Oni Central today, both closely related to Oni's PS2 port. The first, a Coming Soon article in the June 2000 issue of Playstation Magazine, has been scanned in and makes for a colorful read. John Woo-style action comes to the PS2 ... Oni is certainly raising some eyebrows in the console market.
As posted at HaloWorld, there is a new Halo preview at the German gaming site GameHQ.de. It is relatively short and offers no new information so CyberBob and I won't be taking the time to translate it.
If you've been watching the Marathon's Story page and DEHc-3 Halo you're probably aware of some interesting connections between the author Iain M. Banks and the Halo storylines. Both sites have posted up new bits of information on these connections, DEHc-3's material on its front page and Marathon's Story on a topic focus area. If you're a frequent SF reader you should definitely take a look.
The general gaming site Computer Games Online has just front-paged a combined Halo & Oni preview that was last published on the 13th... however Hamish of the Marathon's Story page points out that they're recycling information from the Halo preview on the 23rd of July. Could it be that they're a bit overloaded trying to catch up after E3?
The folk at Battleground: Halo scored an interview with Marty O'Donnel during E3. Here's a quick snippet:
Kudos to Ironfist for pointing out in our forum that Salon.Com has an article that bemoans the lack of genuine innovation or a compelling narrative in so many of the games shown at E3. Of course they'd be both blind and deaf to have not known about Halo's big showing at E3, but their comments seemed a bit, well... off. Take a look:
Seen first at HBO, Alloy Gaming has got a poll up which is asking What upcoming game will be THE big cheese? The choices are: Black & White, Halo, Freelancer, Warcraft 3 and Tribes 2. Go and vote your preference!
More progress being made on Aleph One over at Marathon Open Source, who report that better XML support is in the pipes. Courtesy of codewarrior Loren Petrich, these planned changes should improve Marathon's new XML variable definitions, which are used to implement changes in engine appearance and behavior from map to map. At least, I think that's what they have in mind... hard to keep up sometimes!
