Macnews.de Interview with Doug Zartman
I was informed yesterday of a new interview with Doug Zartman which was being shown at Macnews.de. A big thank-you goes out to CyberBob, who obtained permission for it to be translated and republished here, and who was the primary interpreter on our end. It has made a full loop from English to German and back to English again... so there may be some unintentional inaccuracy. We think it'll be an interesting read, though. Enjoy! ;-)
Myth II and MacOS X
Continuing their special report on game development for MacOS X, MacGamer's Ledge has saved the best for last: Bungie. It's certainly not surprising that Oni and Halo are slated to be released with OS X support, but this tidbit was rather interesting:
3D Action Planet Halo First Look
As reported by Inside Mac Games, there is a new Halo preview at 3D Action Planet for your reading pleasure. Opening with a narrative, it gives a detailed run down of the engine, though some will certainly misintepret their 3rd person sentiments.
BattleGround: Halo / GameSpy Fan Fiction Contest
SonicStorm of Battleground: Halo contacted us about a contest they're running:
Update: E3.Stomped.Com Contest
John Callaham had this to say regarding some of the submissions he has received in the contest thus far:
HearMe's Roger Wilco for the Mac
Roger Wilco, a popular voice communication program in the PC community which is often used to gain a significant advantage in multiplayer games, is now available in an alpha version for the Mac. CyberBob pointed out that some Bungie games are listed in the compatibility testing chart at the Roger Wilco site: all Marathon games, both Myth games, Oni and Halo.
Bungie Events of Note
Kudos again to Tsao for pointing out a pair of important events on Bungie's Events Calender, and to poena.dare for not letting them go unannounced:
Halo Teasers
Kudos to XZCion, who brought to our attention a post made by Bungie's Matt Soell at halo.bungie.org (I'll have the link to the original post in the thread as soon as I happen upon it) that's chock full of Halo teasers and E3 promises. Here's an interesting tidbit:
