Myth III Map-Making Guide
Phish has written a map-making guide for Myth III that should help newbies get stuff accomplished in Vengeance. It will definitely get you started in making that dream map of yours, so check it out. (Thanks Myth Village)

Phish's Myth III map The Grass Between Your Teeth has been updated to version 1.4. According to Phish, the update makes the map much nicer . Well, sounds good enough for me. Grab it at Phish's website or here at Rampancy.
Nate Birkholz of MacSoft has posted a couple of status updates in the Myth Village forum. The first is in response to Webscreamer's post, but for some reason Webscreamer has deleted his own post. Fortunately Birkholz's is still available.
Posted on November 30, the first update reads:
> If I recall, Nate said Myth 3 will be out in
> early Dec. That means, its either coming out
> this next week or within 2 weeks.> I will believe it when I see it, because I
> am think more like December 31st.I said at the time that it would be out in early December if it went gold *that week.*
Now we're looking like mid-December. We still haven't missed Christmas yet.
Basically, we are looking at somewhere between two and three weeks from Gold date. We hope closer to two than three. Having all the manuals and boxes and everything pre-printed helps tremendously.
The second update is in response to Mac Guy's request for an update. It reads:
As far as status: the situation has been changing the last few days, but overall, things are improving.OS X networking is fixed (whoohoo!) thanks to the ever-diligent work of Bill Heinemann and Chris Jacobson.
Unfortunately, a couple of instability problems (Kernel Panic is fun!) have cropped up in the recent build, and the aformentioned folks are diligenting the problem.
If we're lucky, Mac users will have Myth III in their hands by Christmas. However, I wouldn't bet on it.
Phish stopped by RampancyHL and let us know that his third party map titled The Grass Between Your Teeth is now available. A short description:
Well, I just thought I would release this map to the public as an extra map to play. I haven't tested it much, so there might be bugs, but I hope that at least some of it will be playable :-)I found it a fun map to play in the M2 days (which still continue, apparently :-) so hopefully the fun will continue into Myth 3.
I haven't supplied a readme or anything; proving the fact that it is just a mini-release.
You can download the 1.1 MB map at Phish's website or here at Rampancy.
We have decided to mirror the two official PRASP maps and Leadfeather's new one here on the Rampancy server.
For the record, these are all .tag files compressed with .zip, so Mac users should be able to download the files and use them when Myth III is finally released.
Nate Birkholz has posted the Mac Myth III system requirements in the Myth Village forum. They read:
Birkholz also added, we have actually run it on a 350Mhz iMac DV, with all the graphics dialed down, but lordy, I wouldn't recommend it.
Ferrex pointed out on RampancyHL that Leadfeather has uploaded the first 3rd party Myth III map. Here's the announcement:
Leadfeather of the Vista Cartel and the Madrigal Chamber of Commerce is happy to release the first 3rd Party map for Myth III. A Place to Stand is a seven start ffa map. It features 2 daytime meshes A Place to Stand and A Place to Burn and two nighttime meshes A Place to Fear and a Place to H00r .
Leadfeather is one of the most talented map-makers in the Myth community and is even a part of the Vista Cartel team.
The map files are available at RampancyHL; more specifically at: Files> Games> Myth> Myth III> APTS_v1_1.zip and is 5.3 MB. Alternatively, you can download the map from Myth Village.
Anyone who has been looking to download The Seventh God recently may have come up empty handed due to The Mill's downtime. Fortunately Creation has mirrored it on their server until The Mill returns.
A couple more mirror links for the Myth III single player demo have been added at Myth Guide. The 98 MB demo is now available at 3D Gamers and File Planet. The original file is still available at Gigex, too.
Longtime Myth TFL resource Sons Of Myrgard is now back online after several months of downtime. The site is one of the best Myth TFL resources ever created, featuring solo walkthroughs (with films) and a fantastic how-to resource on map-making. It's great to see Sons Of Myrgard back online.
According to a flock of little birds that invaded this evening, a beta version of the Vengeance editor for Myth III for the PC has been posted over at Antennahead. I don't know if they intended this to be available for one and all... but there it is.
On the heels of that news came this thread in the MythVillage forum, where it is rumored that Vengeance doesn't have support for scripting. El Bastard says that Loathing for Myth II can be used for that, but others have told us that attempting this causes Loathing to crash.
More as it develops.
Kudos to Infininight at Myth Village who has reported the availability of the Myth III solo demo for PC at Myth Guide. The 98 MB demo is available on Myth Guide's demo page and is currently exclusive to Gigex.
At this point, the included level hasn't been specified. Let us know what it is by replying to this post.
UPDATE: Ramses II let us know that the demo includes The Nest and Siege Of Llancarfan levels.
Blambi of Myth Village has posted a link to Outpost for the Mac version of Myth III for the price of $29.95. That's probably the best deal we will see for the game until its popularity dies down a bit.
A couple of new commands for Marius Net have been implemented:
.wank adds the currently selected player to your wank list. Players in your wank list cannot see games that you host. Use .wank again to remove the selected player from your wank list.
.wanklist displays everyone in your wank list.
These commands should prevent repeat offenders from finding your games and spoiling the fun.
Koga and others are discussing ways to access the hidden level of Myth III in the MWA forum. Since what is said within could be considered spoiler material, I won't give any details here other than it sounds very humorous.
