Bungie On Halo 3: Not So Fast

Just as other sites (DailyGame, TeamXbox, SPOnG) are picking up the same rumor promulgated by a quote of Microsoft's J. Allard in a Seattle Post-Intelligencer article we heard about from HBO, Louis Wu lets us know that Bungie has deflated the tires on this one: Bungie is not increasing its staff any time soon.

age 17 (aim JordanGleen)From the start. if there are games that can have ATV's so should halo 2 People like this game because of the verities of things you can do you need to have more wepons more vehicles more maps and less ways of cheating, so far i have seen somone steal party leader. Why on earth would anyone think soon?

Halo 1 was announced in summer 1999 and released in November 2001, although it had been in development earlier and was originally supposed to debut in early 2000 on Macs and PCs.

Halo 2 was announced in early 2002 and released in November, 2004.

Bungie basically doesn't make a game in less than two years unless it's farmed out to another company and/or built on the same engine as its predecessor (think Marathon Infinity or Myth 2).

As little sense as it might make for all concerned, it doesn't seem to me that there can be a Halo 3 before late 2006. which means it'll be an Xbox 2 title-- and not a launch one at that. Unless the Halo 2 engine itself was already designed with the Xbox 2's hardware in mind... which seems unlikely due to the radical changes in CPU and GPU architecture, and the possible lack of a hard drive, which both previous games depend on heavily.

In Halo 3 there should be a covenant shotgun and flamethorwer(if theres gonna be one) and make the Fuel rod gun lock on to vehicles like the rocket lancher and you can take the Hunters fuel rod gun
