Polygon has now done a follow-up on their earlier piece about Destiny. In Bungie's new game, humanity apparently aren't yet galaxy-roaming colonists, and the action seems centered on our own solar system.

Added a new Destiny Concept Art gallery. Many, if not all, of these images were also included in the ViDoc, but these images are direct from Bungie.net and of higher quality.

IGN referred to this area as the Black Garden, saying Bungie described it as "a surreal, fantastic place". Bungie would not say where the location was or give any other information about it.

This image also shows one example each of the three known player classes.

From left to right: Titan, Hunter, Warlock.

The enemies in the background being fought by the Warlock were referred to by Bungie as "space zombies".

The Vex are described as time-traveling robots. They appear to take several different forms.

This single seat vehicle has quickly been labeled by many as Destiny's equivalent of Halo's Ghost.

It's colors and curved shape give it an almost organic feel; like portions of the spider tank the ventral fin almost looks as if it is alive.

Jump seat not confirmed.

The mysterious, spherical Traveler hovers above humanity's last city after saving them from destruction by alien forces.

The missing portions near the bottom of the sphere almost makes me think that humanity has in part built their city by removing pieces of metal from the Traveler.

As the huge, unknown artifact of Destiny, the Traveler would seem to be taking on the titular role in Halo.

Beneath-- and possibly reaching up towards-- the Traveler is the Tower, presumably a non-combat area where Guardian players will interact with each other.

This location is on Earth's moon. Destiny as described as taking place among the ruins of humanity's golden age of dominance over their solar system. Locations like these may be long-lost human installations or habitations.

Bungie describes Earth's moon in Destiny as "broken" and this image shows large cracks. That's what you get for storing nuclear waste on the dark side, guys. (Just kidding.)

The Citadel is described as a place where bad guys live; all bad guys need an evil lair. In the foreground, two Guardians face off against some Vex.

This image shows an example of each of the player classes so far revealed: the hooded Hunter, most likely a stealth-based class, the magic-wielding Warlock, and the gun-toting Titan.

It is not known if other player classes exist or will exist, or whether factions fall strictly along class lines or include members of all possible classes.

This image was the first piece of concept art revealed after the first leak in November 2012.

It shows the enemy known as the Fallen. A spider tank trudges through the snow in the distance, and one of the figures appears to be shadowed by what might be a companion drone of some sort.

"Fallen" could also be seen as a reference to Bungie's RTS series, Myth. Myth's first title was Myth: The Fallen Lords.

The Exclusion Zone is on Mars, one of many locations in the solar system you can travel to in Destiny. The green banners apparently represent the large, rhinoceros-like Cabal enemies.
