Here we see Destiny's mobile integration, with a screen that shows us Chapter 3 of Book 1, a mission called "Gain favor with the Queen" which apparently occurs at the Venus Destination, at a location called the Shores of Time.
The last note, "Help the Crow loot the Academy Archive" might be a side mission or optional objective.
There's no clear indication what the numeral "18" next to the Destiny tricorn symbol means-- perhaps a current player rating, or points accrued, or friends currently online, or a point reward for completing the offered mission.
Chinese takeout has had a strong impact on the Bungie development process since their Chicago days.
Bungie cofounder Jason Jones is said to be more personally involved in the development of Destiny than any Bungie game since Halo 1.
The fantasy that you have when you're creating an experience is that someone else is going to enjoy it.
Very few of us survived. And those who did, owe their lives to the Traveler.
Destiny's biggest McGuffin is the Traveler-- a mysterious alien artifact that, unlike Halo, seems bent on our protection rather than our destruction-- which makes it no less mysterious.
The walls that surround the last city beneath the Traveler indicate that there are things on the surface that need to be kept out...
An interesting mix of structures here. In the background left and foreground right, one can see towers on which appear to be mounted lights, like stadium lights. The other tall objects could be construction cranes.
In the background on the right is a smooth structures that looks very Forerunner-like, quite a bit like the beam towers seen on Halo installations.
... no one knows exactly what.
Eerily similar to real life images of shrinking bodies of water like the Aral sea, here what looks to be an aircraft carrier or some other kind of ship, stranded in a desert.
This may very well end up being a representation of Destiny's equivalent of Mass Effect's galaxy map-- a not-to-scale representation of humanity's home solar system, with major Destinations here visible: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus. Bungie's current development efforts apparently center around small teams organized around different Destinations.
Bungie's first ViDoc about its new game, Destiny. The title harkens back to Bungie's pre-marathon history...
With the Alpha Lupi ARG now concluded and mere hours to wait before Bungie's expected Destiny reveal at 09:30 today PST, Bungie has published all the ARG-related images, including each day's individual image, a combined image of all the messages for the week, a desktop picture, and an MP3 file featuring music by Marty O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori for the new game. The track is called Eighth.
This desktop image was one of the promotional assets that served as the "reward" for the community's solution of the five-day alpha lupi ARG promoting Destiny's reveal on Feb 17, 2013.
Hi
This is my transcription of the 'City Under Siege' section of Exodus, from the Halo: Reach soundtrack.
Probably sounds best if you use the 'strings' sound on keyboards/electric pianos.
Enjoy :D
Damián Isla, Rob Stokes and Michel Bastien left Bungie back in 2009 to start Moonshot Games, and one of the first projects they put on display was Fallen Frontier. It was intended to be a platformer targeted at XBLA. I liked the look of it, and they put up a trailer.
