Have we got a treat for you! Jaime Case Griesemer, Senior Designer for Bungie's Halo project, has consented to answer some questions about himself and about Halo. For those of you who don't know much about Jaime, he was a member and well-respected webmaster in the Bungie fan community for some time before going to work for Bungie. Here's a small excerpt from the interview:
A trusted source who wishes to remain anonymous found something in the recent PC Gamer (UK edition) Halo preview that he didn't think jived with previous information:
A pair of new rampancy.net channels at io.bungie.net, which replace the old Core channels (may they rest in peace). Both pipe the headlines and forum threads to that handiest of sites, and should prove more than adequate substitutes. Our thanks to the Bungie guys for helping us get these channels up and running in time for E3, which means we can spam them both relentlessly over the course of the next few days...
Blue, the iCEO for Evil, Inc., (A Myth order) is announcing an East Coast Gathering of members.
E3 is going to be rather exciting this year, with a good number of Bungiefen defying the trade-only nature of the event and planning to make an appearance. And of course, people will be bringing their cameras and shooting everything in sight (you know what I mean), so we figured we'd have a bit of fun this year and organize a little photo contest.
If you're bringing your camera with you this year and are keen on scoring a t-shirt, then the contest rules are as follows:
A noteworthy new release of the Aleph One source code at Marathon Open Source today. Put together by Rhys Hill, this new release is for Apple's free MPW compiler, which means prospective codewarriors no longer actually need Codewarrior to get in on the open source effort. Definitely worth checking out if you're on a budget and wanting to try tinkering with Aleph One.
I just got the June issue of PC Gamer (The US edition) yesterday and it includes a feature article that previews several games that are guaranteed to renew your passion for gaming this coming year.
Back to the nooz! Caught tonight at HBO was a thread started by a reader who wanted to know what the minimum modem connection speed will be for Halo. Matt Soell of Bungie posted the following reply:
With the caveat that we haven't tested Halo netplay on anything but our internal LAN, so nothing I say about this can be absolutely certain:I suspect 56K modems will be the way to go for those who are dialing in.

As posted at myth.bungie.org, beating Myth: TFL with no casualties was not enough for Daniel Asmodeus Gentry. No sir, he went and did all 25 levels with style--no damage. Stop and consider that for a moment, and if you're still curious, swing by myth.bungie.org's Mythmaster Central for the lowdown.
