Kudos to mad.max, who (with much sweat and blood) tracked down and transcribed portions of the Halo preview in PCGamer UK that we less fortunate North Americans might have a peek at it. A few highlights provided for us from the article:
It's been a hectic few days, but rampancy.net is finally online and taking visitors. Sorry about that second countdown, but we needed time to transfer all of the Core's forum and news content over, and we couldn't do so while the forum was so active.
The frenzy of activity surrounding the end of the Core caught Noct and I completely off guard... but what a delight, competing with the ingenuity of the community, people who casually decoded our puzzles and veil of uncertainty. Clearly we were no match, but we're glad some of you had a good time.
What an incredible experience. There are literally too many people to thank... the people who spent hours speculating on the forum, everyone who eagerly accepted the puzzles, and even the people who were reloading the forum index so fast in the last few minutes that it broke the threads display on the front page.
Incredible.
One of the longest running Myth sites, Mythology, announced today that they've reached the end of the road. With their host soon to pull the plug on the site, another respectable site will be returning to the ether.
Stop by and read their post on the issue (and have a taste of their continuing sense of humor), and do it quickly before it's gone. Several members of the Mythology team will be continuing on at other sites, so they're certainly not lost to us, but the Myth scene has just gotten a bit quieter...
Kudos to Freewill for noticing a few questions that were asked and then apparently answered by Bungie at the German is this old news? New Halo info
The guys at Haloplayers report that PCGamer UK issue out today has some interesting information in it, but only a single new screenshot. A bit of a letdown, but with E3 mere days from now, we're certain to have plenty of screens and info to make up for it. Stay tuned...
Still enigmatic, but a step up from ???? , the mystery link at Bungie.org has changed to a slightly more suggestive ?B? , which still doesn't link to anything... yet. Should be interesting to see what they eventually come up with, since their sites already cover most of Bungie's games.
If you haven't yet, you need to go check out io.bungie.net, the new b.net website in beta testing. Max, aka Yeroen, posted an interesting item on yesterday's news:
