TURBO in the #HBO IRC channel pointed out the new Halo Editing Kit screenshot over at Cortana.org. It appears to be showing what we can only assume is shot of a Halo level being edited in 3ds Max.

Viper, with the help of FlyingV, saddles up and packs some orbital bombardment for all the stupid people in the latest Battleground: Halo mailbag.

Cortana.org has pointed out a sneak peek at Halo 2 toys from Joyride, as well as a Bungie T-shirt and other items in their April Giveaway.

UPDATE: Louis Wu at HBO pointed out a newer page than the one we took from Cortana.org (seems Bungie.net had them back in February and we didn't post it then). The figures.com page, mentioned by Dan Chosich, has some other shots that might be better.

This news is a bit old, but we missed it the first time around, so here goes.

Loren Petrich has said if there's interest, he will modify the MML (that's Marathon Markup Language) used in Aleph One (the open source version of the Marathon engine) to support models made by a program called DimAnimator.

The reason? Spnkrghol has been cooking up some great models for use in Aleph One.

VideoMannumbuh1 writes in the HBO forum that the Fortress Gulch mod, which places a huge wall in the middle of Blood Gulch (among other things) has been released.

Pfhorslayer writes on the Postpose Software website that the development of Aquaduct Two, the Macintosh-based Xbox tunneler, is proceeding nicely:

We began the first phase of Aquaduct 2 beta testing this weekend. To keep feedback optimally useful, and to ensure that we don't release anything deadly into the wild, this first test won't be public. The answer to the Question that just loomed ominously over my inbox is, "No, we have plenty."

He goes on to assure everyone that it will be released as soon as possible.

Blackstar of Blackstar Productions got a treat from a friend living near Bungie HQ-- an extra-wide poster advertising the Special Edition Green Console version of the Xbox. He put some pics of it up in the HBO forum.
